This year we celebrate the 600 year-old anniversary of the Valladolid University School of Medicine, the oldest in Spain and one of the oldests in Europe.

   
         
         
   

February 18, 2006. A talk by Prof. Alberto Muñoz from the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas in Madrid opens (unoficially) our new building´s conference room. The topic of his talk was “Vitamin D and cancer”.

   
         
         
   

September 2005. About 60 researchers of the IBGM move to the new building. The rest of the personnel remain at the spaces in the Valladolid University School of Medicine, only 300 m apart from the new building.

   
         
         
   

June 21, 2005. The Ministry of Education and Science, Ms Mª Jesús San Segundo and CSIC President Prof. Carlos Martínez-A open oficially the IBGM new building.

   
         
         
   

May 21, 2005. Dr. Carlos Villalobos is appointed a tenure position as Associate Professor (Científico Titular) in Cell Physiology at the IBGM, UVA-CSIC.
